Hello! I’m Seth Osborn.
I’m an industrial-organizational psychologist (think “business psych”).
I help HR and OD leaders in three main ways:
To discuss custom coaching or consulting needs, book a virtual meeting here.
Below are some specific services I offer. For each, there are options for brief diagnostics, as well as longer-term engagements.
1. Individual Assessment & Coaching
This provides insights on individuals and how they are perceived by others. Three possible focuses include:
NOTE: I sometimes offer free 20-minute lightning coaching calls for anyone, at any level (check my availability).
2. Team Assessments & Workshops
Team profiles can reveal differences in work styles that were previously invisible (or visible but unspoken). If recognized and appreciated, these differences can be leveraged to improve processes like communication, coordination, and conflict management.
3. Workforce Attitudes Survey
This is a systematic method for “taking the temperature” of workforce morale and identifying actionable steps that could bump engagement, trust, and belonging in the right direction.
4. Data Analysis
AI is still fallible, and most people hate statistics. That’s where humans who love statistics (like me) come in. This service is for those who want to rest assured that the analysis is done correctly.
Not sure which service is right for your situation? Or need something not listed?

I (Seth) am the principal consultant for Osborn Learning & Analytics LLC and a Professor of Practice at Rice University.
Across more than a decade of training and consulting, I’ve certified hundreds of trainers; taught or spoken to thousands of professionals and students; and provided consulting services for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, prominent Fortune 500 and Am Law 100 firms, and professional sports teams.
My certifications include Hogan Assessments, the Birkman Method, and the Uncommon Coaching model developed by Leadership Worth Following. I hold a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Tulsa.
My Philosophy:
I believe that every psychologist’s goal should be to make the invisible become visible. I don’t see the value in telling people what they already know.
So, rather than merely “holding up a mirror,” my services are designed to reveal blind spots. New vision enables new action.
If that’s what you’re looking for, then let’s chat.
Need to hop on a call to talk through a critical problem? Want to ask a million questions? Or have me on-call 24/7?
I offer 1:1 consultation calls or advisory retainers in a narrow set of circumstances. Learn more about how I may be able to help.
Here are some examples of feedback I’ve received following training, coaching, and consulting engagements over the years…
I’ve been privileged to serve or partner with more incredible organizations than I can count. Here are a few that I’m especially proud of…
I also provide confidential coaching and consulting services for various high-profile organizations (not listed), including Fortune 500 firms and professional sports teams, on issues relating to leader development needs or sensitive personnel data.
All my services have the option to be provided with 100% confidentiality.

Every word on this website, as well as every aspect of my services, is human-created. I have nothing against AI or LLMs (I use them daily to automate menial tasks), but I figure that if someone is looking for AI output, they can just ask a chatbot. What I do is for people who want the genuine article.
